ALTR Terms of Service

1. Description of Service

ALTR is a digital tool designed for self-reflection, journaling, and exploring archetypal symbolism through features such as Tarot, Dream Analysis, and Shadow Work. The App utilizes Artificial Intelligence (AI) to generate interpretations and content.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use ALTR. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.

3. Accounts and Security

To access certain features, you may be required to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

4. Virtual Currency ("Mana")

ALTR uses a virtual currency system called "Mana" to access premium AI features.

• License: Mana is a limited, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to use digital features within the App.
• No Monetary Value: Mana has no real-world monetary value and cannot be exchanged for cash, goods, or services outside of the App.
• Expiration: We reserve the right to expire unused Mana if your account remains inactive for a period of 12 months or longer.
• Refunds: All purchases of Mana are final and non-refundable, except as required by applicable law or the policies of the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

5. Subscriptions

ALTR may offer auto-renewing subscriptions ("Pro Membership").

• Billing: Subscription fees are billed to your App Store or Google Play account.
• Renewal: Your subscription will automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Cancellation: You can manage or cancel your subscription in your device's account settings.

6. User Generated Content

You retain ownership of the content you create within the App, including journal entries, dream logs, and sigils ("User Content").

• License to Us: By inputting User Content, you grant ALTR a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, process, and store your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you (e.g., generating AI interpretations). We do not sell your private journal entries to third parties.
• Prohibited Content: You agree not to input content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, or sexually explicit in a manner that violates App Store policies.

7. AI Usage and Limitations

The App uses third-party AI technology (including but not limited to OpenAI and Google Gemini) to process your inputs.

• Accuracy: AI generation is probabilistic and may produce inaccurate or nonsensical results. We make no guarantees regarding the accuracy of interpretations.
• Input Data: You understand that your text inputs (anonymized where possible) are sent to third-party AI providers for processing.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ALTR and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or emotional distress, arising out of or in connection with your use of the App.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes through the App. Your continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
